Ashley Zhao

As an Elections Assistant on the Research team, Ashley works on a variety of quantitative and qualitative projects for political clients.
Prior to joining GSG, Ashley worked in strategic communications, assisting foundations and nonprofit organizations in their missions to protect constitutional freedoms, defend reproductive rights, and expand educational access and equity.
Ashley graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a degree in International Politics and a double minor in Spanish and Chinese. During her time at Georgetown, Ashley worked as a research intern with the Brennan Center for Justice, where she analyzed the impact of anti-critical race theory bills on educators across the country. She has also held internships with the Council on Foreign Relations and the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee.
A native New Yorker turned DC resident, Ashley enjoys exploring the DMV food scene, discussing the superiority of the NYC subway system, and planning trips with friends.
