In 100 words or less, tell us about your career path.
Internships rule because every job I’ve had was influenced by them. I did an internship with Amnesty International and a fulltime internship at the CT State Capitol. When I graduated, I was a committee clerk at the legislature and then moved over to the Department of Consumer Protection where I was a Frauds Investigator (I had a badge and shopped undercover – it was awesome). I worked for a lobbying shop for 18 years before starting my own consulting practice, where I worked with Tanya on projects. When Roy went over to the Governor’s office, Tanya and I came to Global.
What would your co-workers be surprised to know about you?
I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane. It was amazing but I will never do that again. Now I know – if I can do that, I can do anything!
What is the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Try everything. The worst that happens is you discover what you don’t like. But be open to all possibilities.
If money/client were no object, what is your dream campaign?
I’d love to work on a national campaign to advocate for transgender rights.
