Gauging the Opinion of Voters about Renewable Energy in Utah

The bipartisan polling team of Global Strategy Group and Dan Jones & Associates recently conducted a statewide survey in Utah to gauge the opinion of voters on a proposal to close coal-fired power plants in the state and transition to renewable energy sources. The poll found that Utah voters support a plan to phase out PacifiCorp’s coal plants across Utah and Wyoming by 2030 and replace them with renewable energy, by a 53% to 33% margin. The poll was commissioned on behalf of Western Resource Advocates.
