In the ever-changing workplace, what do employees really want and value? Global Strategy Group took the pulse of employees nationwide to find out what matters most to them.
A few of our key findings include:
- In recent years, many employees said they wanted their employers to talk about the issues of the day, including hot-button political issues. Now, fewer want their employers weighing in, but more want to hear from employers and brands about the issues that impact them personally, including the rising cost of goods.
- Most workers feel content in the critical areas of work/life balance, job security, and health benefits, while compensation stands out as a sore spot. And despite continuing turmoil in the job market, with layoffs and return to office conversations dominating, 89% of employees surveyed are happy with their employers, and 90% say they are engaged with their work.
- Nearly all employees who benefit from employer-offered training programs find them valuable to their career development, but believe there is room for their employers to do more in fields of the future, including clean tech, energy, robotics, and AI.
