Max Rein

Senior Associate, Research

As a Senior Associate on the Data team, Max processes and analyzes data for GSG’s political clients. He has contributed to GSG’s work for Senator Jacky Rosen, Governor Kathy Hochul, Navigator Research, and the 2024 Florida ballot measure aiming to protect abortion rights. He has also worked on numerous New York municipal, congressional, and statewide races.

Internally, he has studied modal differences in GSG’s survey research, worked to improve methodological practices for ballot measures, and contributed to GSG’s data warehousing and processing software.

Prior to joining GSG, Max worked conducting public policy research on family homelessness in New York City. He used data to highlight trends in the New York City shelter system and wrote reports evaluating and advocating for policy change.

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Max holds a BA from Bates College where he studied Politics and Philosophy. For his thesis, he researched the impact of election ballot design on voter behavior. Outside of work, he enjoys eating pizza, following the NBA and NFL, and playing board games.
