Matthew Garcia

As an Elections Assistant at GSG, Matthew helps teams deliver clear, actionable, data-based insights for clients through both qualitative and quantitative research.

Prior to working at GSG, he served as an intern in the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs under the Biden administration, helping manage hundreds of stakeholder relationships and assisting with communications to state and local policymakers across the country. Before joining the White House, he served as an intern for the Harris-Walz campaign, and as a national press intern for Senate Democratic Leader Schumer.

He graduated from the Macaulay Honors program at Brooklyn College with a degree in Political Science and a minor in music. He also served as the Director of Macaulay Theater Club and Macaulay Musicians’ Collective.

Outside of work, you can find him playing piano, checking out local bookstores, and exploring NYC.
