From campaign offices to international fieldwork, Katrina Schmidt has built her career helping progressives understand people and craft messages that move them. As a manager in GSG’s political research practice, Katrina translates data into winning strategy for candidates and causes.

Prior to joining GSG, Katrina led public affairs and advocacy research at Bully Pulpit International, specializing in narrative development for organizations like the ACLU and Climate Power and global research in 10+ countries. She most recently spent six months in London on behalf of BPI, guiding the integration of an international research team and advising their transition toward quantitative methods.

In 2024, Katrina served on the Harris for President campaign’s internal polling team, coordinating insights across creative testing and tracking research.

Katrina is a graduate of Georgetown University, where she studied international politics, and is a proud Baltimore native and resident. Katrina spends her free time practicing yoga, anticipating ski season, and trying new recipes to justify her New York Times Cooking subscription.
