Privacy Policy for Global Strategy Group LLC
Last updated: 12/10/2025
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Global Strategy Group LLC (“GSG,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and discloses your personal information in connection with your use of our website(s) (the “Site”) and the related services (together with the Site, the “Services”).
Please read this Policy carefully so that you understand our information practices. If you do not agree with the terms of this Policy, please do not use the Site or the Services.
1. Background: Our Services
We provide strategic and consulting services to a range of organizations, particularly focused on matters in the public and policy sphere. This includes, for instance, consulting about consumers, voters, donors, and the general public, to organizations that range from political actors (such as campaigns and candidates) to non-profit and for-profit entities that may be involved in public efforts or campaigns.
While providing these Services, we collect personal information from our customers, information on behalf of our customers, including information from consumers, voters, donors, and the general public, and on occasion, information for our own internal research and analytics purposes. When we collect information on behalf of our customers, their privacy policies describe how they use your information. This Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information on our own behalf.
2. Information We Collect and How We Collect It
Why we collect personal information. We collect personal information in two contexts: first, we collect information in our corporate capacity – in other words, from our customers and prospective customers, and Site visitors. This may include information we collect directly (such as when you communicate directly with or engage us as a client) or automatically (such as when your browser interacts with our website and our servers).
Second, we collect information in order to analyze public opinion – such as information we obtain through surveys. In most cases, we obtain this information on behalf of or while providing services to our customers – for instance, if a political organization or industry group asks us to help them gauge public opinion on particular matters. In some cases, we are permitted to disclose the customer’s identity during the survey, and, in those instances, we are acting as their service provider or vendor, and the customers’ privacy policies will explain how your information is used. In other instances, we are not permitted to disclose the customers’ identity, or we collect this information on our own behalf, to better understand public opinion and perform our Services. In both of those instances, we are collecting the information on our own behalf, and this Privacy Policy explains how the data is collected, used, and shared. Under certain laws, the disclosure of that information to our customers may be considered a sale. For individuals in the U.S., we provide information below on how you can opt-out of the sale of your information and exercise other privacy rights that may be available to you. For individuals in the EU, we provide information below on the consents required for us to collect certain cookies and how you may exercise other privacy rights that may be available to you.
We describe each in more detail, below.
- Information You Provide Directly to Us (Such as When Visiting the Site)
We collect personal information directly from you when you use our Services, for example, when you fill out our Contact Us form, sign-up for newsletters, send us email messages, participate in surveys, or apply for employment or an internship opportunity on our Site.
For instance, we may ask you for, and you may provide, information such as name, address, email address, your job title, and phone number.
We may also collect information, such as email address, photo, and video or video recording, from you when you participate in GSG events. By participating in our events, you will automatically be subscribed to receive email updates from us, as permitted by applicable law. (As further described in Section 5(c), you can choose to opt-out of receiving additional newsletters or updates from us by clicking the “unsubscribe” option in the email communications you receive.)
- Information We Collect Automatically
We also may receive and store certain personal information about you and your device(s) automatically when you access or use the Site. This information may include:

Sometimes, we work with third parties who deploy these cookies on our behalf. When we use these cookies to targets ads to you – for instance, to “retarget” you on other services with information about services, after you’ve visited our Site – we give you the opportunity to “opt out” of these ads: see Section 5(b) for information about those “opt out” methods. We also use cookies for analytics, and other purposes, as described further in Section 5(a).
- Information We Collect From Other Sources
We may collect personal information about you from third parties, including public sources (such as voter records) and commercial sources (such as survey providers or data aggregators, who themselves may work with both publicly available and commercially provided information). In particular, we collect:
- contact information (which may include an email address or other unique identifier tied to personal information) and answers to survey questions. We receive this information from you and from other third parties, and it may include “sensitive” information such as self-reported information about race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, citizenship, or immigration status.

5. Your Opt-Out Choices For Analytics, Tracking, Targeted Advertising
In the U.S., most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. - Analytics and Tracking Technologies
We may use third-party web analytics services on the Site, such as those of Google Analytics. These service providers use the sort of technology described in the “Information we collect automatically” section above to help us analyze how users use the Site. You may choose to opt out of the collection Site analytics to the extent enabled by the Manage Cookie Consents tool.
We also use additional Google Analytics features that provide tracking and advertising services, including noting the third-party website from which you arrive and relating to targeted advertising, as described more in the following section. - Online Tracking and Targeted Advertising
We may allow certain third parties (e.g., ad networks and ad servers such as Google Analytics) to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites and to serve targeted marketing to you on our behalf (for instance, when you are on our Site or third-party websites) and to access their own cookies or other tracking technologies on your computer, mobile phone, or other device you use to access the Site.
Some of these activities may constitute “targeted advertising,” “sharing,” or “selling” under certain laws. You can opt out of having your personal information used or disclosed for these purposes via cookies and similar technologies on our Site by visiting the Manage Cookie Consents tool and sliding the toggle from blue to gray next to or beneath (depending on your device) “Targeted Advertising” or by visiting our Site with a legally recognized opt-out preference signal, such as the Global Privacy Control.
For more information about tailored browser advertising and how you can generally control cookies from being put on your computer to deliver tailored marketing, please visit www.aboutads.info/choices. You may visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s (“NAI”) Consumer Opt-Out Link and/or the Digital Advertising Alliance’s (“DAA”) Consumer Opt-Out Link to opt-out of receiving tailored advertising from companies that participate in those programs. If your browsers are configured to reject cookies when you visit this opt-out page, or you subsequently erase your cookies, use a different computer, or change web browsers, your opt-out may no longer be effective.

You may opt out of any email marketing communications from us at any time by following the instructions in those communications, such as an “unsubscribe” link in emails we may send to you.

The Site may contain links to other sites. If so, we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites.
7. Security and Retention of Personal Information
We have implemented administrative, technical, and physical security measures intended to protect against the loss, misuse, and/or alteration of your information. However (like any organization), we cannot and do not guarantee that these measures will prevent every unauthorized attempt to access, use, or disclose your information since despite our efforts, no Internet and/or other electronic transmissions can be completely secure.
We retain personal data for so long as it may be relevant to the purposes above. In determining how long to retain information, we may consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of the information, the purposes for which we process the information, applicable legal requirements, and our legitimate interests.
8. Children’s Privacy
We generally do not knowingly collect or obtain personal information (as defined by the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) from children under 18. Where we conduct or commission surveys of minors, we do so with parental consent. If you are under 18, please do not attempt to register for the service or send us any personal information about yourself. 9. Additional Disclosures: U.S. State Privacy Notice & California Notice at Collection

These states currently include California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.
- Privacy Rights Requests
If you live in one of these states, you may have the following rights with respect to your “personal information” or “personal data” (as such terms are defined under applicable law, and collectively referred to herein as “personal data”), namely, you may have the right to ask that we:

For an authorized agent to be verified, you must provide the authorized agent with signed, written permission to make such requests or a power of attorney. We may also follow up with you to verify your identity before processing the authorized agent’s request.
Right to Appeal. In certain states, residents have the right to appeal our decision to deny your request, if applicable. If you have followed the procedures above for making a privacy rights request and we have denied your request, you may appeal that decision by sending an email to privacyrequest@globalstrategygroup.com with the words “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line.
Opt Out of Targeted Advertising. You may also opt out of targeted advertising, which we may occasionally engage in, such as to “retarget” with information about our services when you visit other websites (which in some states may be considered “selling” or “sharing” personal information). Please see the instructions in Section 5.b, above, to learn about those “opt out” methods for cookie-based targeted adverting. To opt out of other types of targeted advertising, please follow the instructions above for submitting a privacy rights request and indicate you are opting out of targeted advertising and personal data sales/sharing. Selling and Sharing Personal Information
The CCPA sets forth certain obligations for businesses that “sell” personal information or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as updated by the California Consumer Rights Act (the “CCPA”). Under the CCPA, “sale” and “sharing” are defined such that they may include allowing third parties to receive certain information, such as emails or phone numbers, for advertising purposes or the transfer of information collected during the course of a survey or study that did not disclose a GSG customer name.
As indicated above in Section 2, we may “sell” or “share” categories of information to third-party advertising partners and vendors that support our advertising efforts (such as advertising analytics services) and with our customers when we share survey or study results that contain personal information.
In the preceding 12 months, we have “sold” or “shared” the following categories of personal information to the following categories of third parties:
- Identifiers, such as unique personal identifier, online identifier, internet protocol address, or other similar identifiers.
- Internet or other electronic network activity information, including, but not limited to, browsing history, search history, and information regarding a consumer’s interaction with an internet website, application, or advertisement.
- Geolocation data
- Each of these categories of information is “shared” as that term is defined in applicable State Privacy Laws with our advertising networks and partners, marketing agencies, and customer database hosting providers.
- Additionally, certain personal data collected from survey participants and personal data provided in response to survey questions may have been sold to GSG customers, pursuant to the CCPA definition of “sale.”
If you would like to opt out of our use or disclosure of your information for such purposes that are considered a “sale” or “sharing”, please follow the instructions in Section 9(a). For cookie-based sale or sharing, you may opt out of “Marketing” at the Manage Cookie Consents tool.
The CCPA also allows you to limit the use or disclosure of your “sensitive personal information” (as defined in the CCPA) if your sensitive personal information is used for certain purposes. In certain circumstances you may exercise the right to limit our processing of your sensitive personal information, pursuant to the instructions in Section 9(a).
- Nevada Residents
If you are a resident of the State of Nevada, you have the right to submit a verified request directing us not to sell your personal information. If you are a Nevada resident, and would like to submit such a request, please follow the instructions in Section 9(a).
10. International Users
GSG is headquartered in the United States, and we have operations and service providers in the United States and other countries. Therefore, we and our service providers may transfer your personal information to, or store or access it in, jurisdictions that may not offer the equivalent levels of protection as those in your home jurisdiction. We will take steps to ensure that your personal information receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it, including putting appropriate safeguards in place such as standard contractual clauses approved under applicable data protection laws.
11. Additional Disclosures for Individuals in Europe
If you are in the EU, UK, or Switzerland, you have certain rights and protections under the law regarding the processing of your personal information or data.
When we process your personal information, we will do so in reliance on one or more of the following lawful bases:
- To perform our responsibilities under our contract with you (e.g., processing payments for and providing the products and services you requested).
- To pursue our legitimate interests in processing your personal data to operate our business, to conduct and manage our business activities, and ensure that we are guaranteeing the best service and experience for you and our customers (e.g., to provide, maintain, personalize, enhance, and improve our Services, to conduct research and analysis, including focus groups and surveys, to enforce our policies and comply with legal obligations, to comply with marketing opt-outs and unsubscribes, to detect, monitor, and prevent fraud or other unlawful acts, or to communicate with you).
- To comply with our legal obligations (e.g., to maintain a record of your consents, track those who have opted out of marketing communications, and comply with other regulatory obligations).
- When we have your consent to do so (e.g., when you opt in to receive marketing communications from us). When consent is the legal basis for our processing your personal data, you may withdraw such consent at any time.
Where we are processing personal data on behalf of our Customers, the Customer is the Controller and GSG is a Processor, as those terms are defined under the applicable privacy laws. You are encouraged to review the customer’s privacy policy directly for information concerning the collection, use, and processing of your personal data.
- Subject to certain limitations, you have the following privacy rights:
- Access: you are entitled to ask us if we are processing your information and, if we are, you can request access to your personal information. This enables you to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you and certain other information about it.
- Correction: you are entitled to request that any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you is corrected.
- Erasure: you are entitled to ask us to delete or remove personal data in certain circumstances. There are also certain exceptions where we may refuse a request for erasure, for example, where the personal data is required for compliance with law or in connection with claims.
- Restriction: you are entitled to ask us to suspend the processing of certain of your personal information about you, for example if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it.
- Portability: you may ask us to help you transfer certain of your personal information to another party.
- Objection: where we are processing your personal data based on legitimate interests (or those of a third party), you may challenge this. However, we may be entitled to continue processing your information in case there are compelling legitimate grounds to do so. You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal information for direct marketing purposes.
- Automated decisions: you may contest any automated decision made about you where this has a legal or similar significant effect and ask for it to be reconsidered.
- Consent: where we are processing personal data with consent, you can withdraw your consent.
If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please email us at privacyrequest@globalstrategygroup.com with your name and type of request you are making.
