Nicole Jaconetty

Nicole Jaconetty’s first foray on the political scene was in a stroller 100 feet from her local Chicago polling place, helping her mom campaign for aldermanic races. Now of eligible voting age, she recalls most of her childhood as spent at Cook County and Illinois Democratic Party events. 

Bringing a lifetime of personal experience in and around politics to her work for the last decade, Nicole has developed a deep electoral research expertise – especially in the Midwest. Her work in 2022 was instrumental in flipping the Michigan Senate blue and achieving a trifecta in state government for the first time in 40 years and re-electing State Auditor Rob Sand, now the only Democrat to hold statewide office in Iowa. Nicole is also a lead advisor on The Rocky Mountaineer, GSG’s quarterly research report that helps progressive leaders and communicators shape the debate on the issues that matter most to Coloradans. Her advocacy work is primarily focused on addressing the core causes and harmful effects of climate change and pollution and encouraging political and industry stakeholders to support a shift to clean energy.

Nicole is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Fordham University, having pursued a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham College Rose Hill in American Studies, Anthropology, and Political Science and earning magna cum laude honors. She graduated with distinction from Fordham’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences the following year, receiving a Master of Arts in Elections and Campaign Management and earning two Pollie Awards from the American Association of Political Consultants.

When not pursuing her passion for politics, Nicole keeps very active as a certified barre instructor and champion Irish dancer. She has been ranked regionally, nationally, and internationally, including at the All Ireland and World Irish Dancing Championships. Nicole is a proud native Chicagoan and calls the city’s Northwest Side home with her husband, daughter, and miniature dachshund.
