Emily is Senior Vice President of Digital Communications for Global Strategy Group where she leads digital and paid media strategy for clients, including Fortune 500 companies, national advocacy organizations, trade associations, non-profits, and foundations.
Understanding who people are and what motivates them has fascinated Emily since the pre-internet days and has helped shape her work and point of view on the use of digital and social media for her clients. As Media Director for the L@B, GSG’s in-house creative + digital agency, Emily builds on over a decade of experience crafting digital engagements to raise awareness, change perceptions, and drive action.
Prior to joining GSG, Emily was Vice President of Blueprint Interactive. In 2008, she was the online advertising campaign manager for Obama for America, where she devised and managed a first-of-its-kind $9 million online voter registration, early vote, and GOTV program that reached more than 1.2 million voters in 19 states. Emily also helped to pioneer the use of digital ads for persuasion in the electoral and issue advocacy space and has been a featured panelist at events hosted by Google, MediaPost, Priorities USA, and the US Chamber of Commerce.
Emily was named one of NYC’s 40 Under 40 by City and State New York in 2018 and a Campaigns and Elections Rising Star in 2010. She holds a BA in Urban Studies from Columbia University.
