Nick Gourevitch leads GSG’s research practice, where he oversees the largest Democratic polling firm in the country. GSG has polled in more federal races than any other Democratic polling firm since the 2010 election cycle. In addition to serving as one of the firm’s top pollsters and communications strategists, he is responsible for business strategy and growth, overseeing research innovation and methodology, and leads a nationwide team of professionals with diverse experience and clients.
Nick is a lead pollster for Navigator Research, a public polling project that provides Democrats regular messaging and language guidance on the issues of the day. Since its inception in 2018, Navigator has produced hundreds of reports on a wide array of topics, including research published after each election that explains the “why” behind the public’s choices.
Nick is a veteran of presidential campaign polling, having served as a pollster in various capacities on behalf of the Democratic nominee in each of the last four presidential election cycles. Nick has worked for Priorities USA Action, the Super PAC who was founded to help re-elect President Obama in 2012 and worked to defeat Donald Trump in 2020. In 2024, Nick worked as a pollster on Kamala Harris’ campaign.
Nick also conducts research for a wide array of Democratic Party elected officials and institutions, including Governor JB Pritzker (IL) and Governor Kathy Hochul (NY). On the institutional side, Nick has worked for many clients including the DCCC, DLCC, DGA, Senate Majority PAC, and others.
Nick has a particular expertise in methodology and polling accuracy issues. As cited by POLITICO, Nick was a “driving force behind the post-2020 Democratic polling autopsy” which aimed to fix some of the issues in accurate measurement, and along with his colleagues, have published reports on methodology after each recent election cycle.
He has been named to Campaigns and Elections magazine’s “Influencers 50” list of those who are “changing the way we think about campaigns, and shaping the future of the industry.” He is also regularly quoted in the media on politics in the New York Times, Washington Post, POLITICO, and other outlets.
Nick is a graduate of Brown University with a double major in Computer Science and Economics and holds a Master’s in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences from Columbia University. Nick lives in Mamaroneck, New York with his wife and three children.
