GSG’s Corinne Roller Moderates Clean Energy Panel at City & State Summit

GSG Vice President Corinne Roller moderated the “New York’s Energy: Impact, Economic Development + Workforce” panel at City & State’s Clean Energy in NY Summit. The dynamic panel included Accenture’s Molly Bauch, Community Offshore Wind’s Alanna Russo, and Con Edison’s Johari Jenkins-Taylor. Their discussion centered on how New York’s clean energy transition benefits entire communities, and enables economic development and growth from businesses small and large.

Corinne guided a conversation on the importance of rethinking workforce development programs to include wraparound services, apprenticeships, and mentorship programs to foster an inclusive energy workforce. Panelists highlighted how they have created solutions to increase workforce diversity and remove structural barriers while showcasing the immense opportunities in clean energy, including the need to preserve federal investments that will create millions of jobs.

A large emphasis was placed on the need for collaboration between community organizations, labor partners, and small businesses to meet New York’s ambitious climate goals and ensure no community is left behind. GSG is proud to have Corinne advancing these critical conversations.
