Sydney Mack

Senior Associate, Communications & Public Affairs

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

In fifth grade, Sydney ran for student body president of her elementary school. She lost the race but ended up finding her love for politics. She still feels enthused by the issues and politics which shape our world today. Her previous experiences and current role allow her to put her passion into practice.

A former GSG Intern turned Associate, Sydney works with the D.C. Communications and Public Affairs team to help clients attain their communications objectives and feel confident when interacting with the media.

Prior to joining GSG, Sydney worked for Commonwealth Communications. She helped coordinate best practices for progressive rapid response work during the 2020 election cycle and ran social media campaigns. Before that, she was a research intern for Need to Impeach, a national grassroots movement. It was here that Sydney truly solidified her interest in political communications.

Sydney graduated from James Madison University (Go Dukes!) in 2021, where she studied Cultural Communications and Political Science. She was born and raised in northern Virginia and now lives in Arlington, Virginia.

Outside the office, you can find Sydney taking advantage of all the great cuisine D.C. has to offer, listening to her favorite podcasts, or playing volleyball with her pick-up team.
